    Twin Springs @ Powell Valley

I didnt get to go, but last I heard the PV boys were up big in the 4th quarter.

So PV rails TS in their first game, great start.

Anyone know who won the girls game and the boys score?

Boys won 57 to 36. Girls won by 30. JV boys won big too.

    Great to hear.

After getting upset by St Paul, glad to see the girls get back on track.

Shooter I know you probably went, how did they play? Did the big guys contribute? I know its early, but were they in mid-season form, or still getting the rust off?

It usually takes a couple games to get back into the rhythm, especially for the younger ones.

If i kept score right, we had 4 guys in double figures. Vaughn 13, Vernon 14, Stick 15, and Holcomb 11. Sam also had over 10 rebounds, a steal that he took 3/4 court for a score, and a few blocks. They look like a complete team. Honestly, I think tonight wasn't even their best ball and won by 21 over a fairly good Twin Springs team that could shoot the rock. They are only gonna get better as their timing gets together. They had great hustle, IMO, tonight. And they are deep. I could go on and on, but im about killed from all the screaming tonight.

Vernon the frosh, scores double digits his first game? thats the best news ive heard all day

TS usually are well coached and good, its impressive for PV to rail them.

Just how deep? Can we run 10 players? If so, itll be tough to beat us.

Did Coach Moore use the same strategies as last year? Half court man to man, motion offense?

Did T. Garrison shoot any long balls? If his deep ball is falling, I dont think any team in the area can beat us, Appy included.

We can throw 4 guys over 6'4 at a team, and with rugged defense by Hubbard and a floor general like Garrison, its gonna be REAL tough for anyone to match up with us

How were turnovers? Did we lose a lot down low? Last year we struggled some with the big guys handling the ball in the post.

I assume the officials were teh same excellent quality as always, am I far off?

We played alright, not great. Missed more than 10 free throws, Stick and Hubbard had "off" nights shooting. Vernon played great once he settled down, best game I've seen out of Vaughn since the first GC game last year. We'll be fine, should beat TW on Tuesday and go into the deal at UVa-Wise 2-0. We'll play two pretty good teams up there.
